Someone in the audience left saying 'Wow! She
should have her own TV show!

The LearnGarden seminar provoked a lot of
discussion in my household. I appreciated the fact
that Dr. Jones did not present a prescription for
turn-key parenting but rather encouraged us to
become better observers and to really think about
and respect the logic behind our son's behavior and
claim for independence - not simply react to outwardly
negative situations. I particularly liked her suggestion
of keeping a written log of events to use as a method
to discover patterns of behavior. My husband and I
have very different parenting styles, but this is one
tool we can both use as a way to come together and
compare notes with the hope that we can begin to
shape a more singular message to our child.

The best part of what Dr. Jones teaches is that it can
be applied to MANY things, not just the topic at hand.
Dr. Jones is a phenomenal speaker. She is
charismatic, energetic, and obviously loves what she
does. She knows how to engage the audience, and
there is never a dull moment! Her material is always
relevant and typically includes things that moms
can't find in a book.

In working with Dr. Jones, I learned why my child was
having tantrums, which used to make me feel that I
had no control whatsoever. I thought my son was
simply behaving badly because he did not get what he
wanted. Now that I know what to do, I feel as though
I have the keys to a better life with my child.

Dr. Jones' approach works well because she puts
herself in the child's shoes and makes the experience
intellectually stimulating from the child's point of view.
The after-effect is that my 3-year-old daughter
becomes more responsive to activities that I try at
home. Dr. Jones' creativity and ability to engage
children with everyday objects are absolutely
astonishing.

Parents questioned her on specific scenarios: poking,
slapping, acting out, antisocial, etc. She did an
analysis with each of them to try and help them
understand what the children were "saying". The
analyses were fascinating and insightful.

My husband came back from your seminar completely
committed to working on implementing your ideas.
We changed routine this morning based on your
advice and not one piece of food thrown today. We
have decided to commit to reading a book every
morning when he wakes up, so that he knows he has
quiet, focused time with one of us. I could tell he was
so pleased and happy. He kept giving me more books
to me to read. It was wonderful. I didn't do laundry,
clean the kitchen or pick up his room: just played with
him for a full 2.5 hours and he was happy as a clam.
Thank you.

Dr. Jones was described to me by another parent as
a brilliant person who gets quickly to the heart of the
problem and gets results in a short period of time,'
and that is what I found to be true. Dr. Jones saw my
son's true potential, nurtured him and built up his
self-esteem. She showed Joaquin how to structure
his studies and motivated him to adopt a healthier
attitude towards school. She taught Joaquin the
pleasure of learning, and that stimulated changes in
him.

Because of Dr. Jones, my 12-year-old son, Sam, has
a newfound interest and maturity as a student.
Dr. Jones was able to engage Sam and unearth a
student I did not know existed. Learning specialists
concentrated on Sam's difficulties and used their
findings to lower expectations. Dr. Jones, on the
contrary, removed the barrier completely. I cannot
think of a better person for my children to spend time
with.
